October 2008 - There are few places on earth where development for the sake of tourism has not destroyed the beauty of the area, an unspoilt world today, tomorrow and forever. We recently visited the beautiful island of Samoa and were truly touched by the warmth of the people. We travelled by fishing boat to one of the islands and were greeted by locals young and old; a tiny child wearing only knickers and a pearl necklace, an elderly gentleman whose face told a thousand tales all working together to restore the local church. A friendly face as we walked on by, offering us bananas fresh off his tree - no matter where you travel to – it is always the people that make a destination.
